Charles (“Chip”) is the founder and CEO of Excellence In Property Management, Inc. ® Chip’s first ten years in the property management business was focused on helping build Eckert Investments, working “hands on”, in the area of maintenance and rehabilitating apartment buildings.
In the early 1990’s, Chip obtained his California Real Estate license. By the mid-1990’s, Chip had his Broker’s license and was overseeing the overall operations of Eckert Investments, managing over 300 multi-residential units on the Central and South Coasts of Santa Barbara County.
Chip quickly developed a reputation in the community for following through with what he set out to do and, by word of mouth, various rental property owners began to ask Chip if he would be interested in managing their properties, independent of his position at Eckert Investments. Chip accepted the challenge and in the late 1990’s, created a sole proprietorship called, “Excellence In Property Management”.
Excellence In Property Management (EIPM, Inc.) incorporated in January 2014, and manages over 38 properties in Santa Barbara County. Today, Chip is involved with and oversees the operation of over 475 units comprised of multi-unit residential properties, single-family homes and commercial properties located in California, Idaho and Washington State.
